Haydn Turner Campground

Located on a peninsula in west Daajing Giids, Haydn Turner Campground is the only municipally owned campsite in the Village. Upgraded in 2016 the site boasts old growth spruce trees, black shale beaches and a panoramic view of Bearskin Bay. With two beach walk-in tent sites and eight drive-in forest sites the nightly fees are $15 and $20 respectively. Fees are collected daily or paid in advance. Reservations are not accepted, sites are available on a 1st-come 1st-served basis.

The facility includes:

  • 8 drive-in sites $20 per night
  • 2 walk-in sites $15 per night
  • Tent platforms, fire pits, picnic tables and benches
  • Centrally located outhouse
  • Potable water spigot (April-October)
  • Fee Collection Drop Box
  • Information Board
  • Walking trails

Other camping services in Daajing Giids include:

  • Sani-pump station on Oceanview Drive between 5th & 6th Street
  • Coin Operated Laundry services at the Laundromat in the City Centre Building at 117 Oceanview Drive
  • Showers available upon request at the Sea Raven Motel, 3301 Oceanview Drive, for $10 each. Call 250-559-4423 to check for availability.
